Is this democratic autocratic or any other type of leadership?

  • You are an employee in a situation where your co workers form an impenetrable circle around the supervisor. They give you orders and they report about your performance. Based on that your PMS rating is created. You work for hours a day and come on your week offs. But they do not wait even a minute after their shift. And they mange to corner all the leaves and as for you they are only on paper.
  • The normal skip activity that was in place about3 years ago where you could view your opinion  about your supervisor has long stopped.
  • The organization does not care about what you think about them.
  • You are only reminded about your value to the company when you ask for a leave.
  • When you ask a question to your supervisor he directs you to one of your coworkers and says will get back to you which never happens.
  • In a democracy the leader takes the opinion of all employees before taking a decision.
  • In an autocracy or dictatorship he himself takes the decision  and all others say yes Sir.
  • Here he asks only his trusted group of subordinates about ideas and listens to no one else. In South Asian languages such a person is called a chamcha . there must be an ARABIC NAME FOR SUCH A PERSON.
  • One of them told me openly before the supervisor you are REDUNDENT and we are the ones who are running the show. Always keep that in mind.

hmmm..sounds tricky and smells fishy, though!

In the light of the analysis, based on the given situations there's something wrong within the professional working environment, that either a democratic and autocratic leadership is reflected

but I could seemingly say, its a Laissez-faire Leadership. Why? the Supervisor being the highest in position over the workers allows such actions or behavior in the company against one.A professional environment and professionally - matured leader will not allow such things. Laissez-faire style is an all the time weak leadership style as it will just aggravate to weaken the professional - working relationship and quality condition of the integrity of the company. As such, situations specified crab mentality, making themselves right and good in the sight of their superior by looking u into the mistake and bullying their colleague.

Such Strategic Leadership and Transformational Leadership should be considered for the benefit of the company through seminar - workshops to continuously promote the quality demand of the company's profile that will start within the body or staff in order to promote quality time and output of work in the market.

It focusing more on the attitude and behavior of the group of workers against one which is a crab mentality and probably a cultural issue. Such internal work environment could be a

In my opinion the supervisor is not following any leadership model at all and is treating his supervisory role as that of a biased family elder. It seems to be a very toxic work culture and not one where a hard worker could expect his due!
