It is any of the perceptually distinct units of sound in a specified language that distinguish one word from another, for example pbd, and t in the English words padpatbad, and bat.

Pheromone is the chemical subtance left by an ant while searching for a food. This substance leed ants to follow the path.

However, phoneme is the abstract sound in a specific language. I don't think the question is about phoneme. there is no relation betweel phoneme and ant at all.
