Customer Service and Customer Care are just how companies call them, but relatively, there is no difference.

 

Call it customer service, customer care, customer relations, customer specialty, etc. They only have one goal : making sure that customer comes back to you, and only you, during the manner that they require the service or the product that you sell or do.

Although some will give a definition that customer care is better than customer service. The manner or approach on delivering great customer service/care is technically the same. So I don't see any major differences between them except if you remove the word "service" and "care", they will have their own different meanings, but if used in conjuction with the word "customer", then they are relatively the same.

Customer Care is an extension of Customer Service, whereby you are not only assisting in servcing the transaction , but going a step further and addressing every single need of the customer and making them feel special and unique.

The difference about customer service is that you are providing the customer the products that you have, while customer care is asking the customer regarding the product that they have if there is a certain issue on the product.

The difference is only in the perception of the user of these phrases.

Actually all that we want is a happy satisfied customer who would return back to us and only us for the product or service we sell.

Customer service involves just that: serving customers to complete a transaction. It might be friendly, helpful service, but the primary purpose is to make a sale or finish a specific process for the customer. It does not move beyond that initial contact, and it does not typically catch a customer by surprise.

In contrast, customer care takes the service procedure a step further, treating the customer as a unique individual who makes up the core of your business. It involves a proactive approach to customers that may catch them off guard in a positive way and delight them with your company. Customer care is the way to put your business above the rest, in terms of how readily the customer will return to you for additional needs.

They are the same, but there are organizations which consider customer care as different unit responsible to take care of the customers' feedbacks thru customer satisfaction surveys. They do analysis, performance measurement and monitor improvements just like other departments, but exclusively related to "customers satisfaction".Our customers can be internal and external. "Internal" is within the company, our colleagues or other departments/units whomever we have interfaces with. E.g. employee requesting an access to HR.The employee is customer. "External" customers are those outside the company who buy our products/services.

The different of it is the customer service will serve what the guest want in straight way  start from the beginning until the end with professional service. but the customer care will take care of guest satisfaction and and from the guest satisfaction will able to enhance the services to guest in future.
