With mobile first development, do you think most of the quality assurance work will focus on mobile apps instead of web based apps?

Quality Assurance of an app is very important to make sure the app is working as intended. With the increased popularity and use of smartphones, I wonder if we should focus on QAing mobile apps first. I would like to know your opinions.

Yes, with mobile-first development, most of the quality assurance work will likely focus on mobile apps instead of web-based apps. This is due to the fact that mobile devices are becoming increasingly popular and the mobile user experience is becoming a top priority for many businesses.

As such, mobile apps must be thoroughly tested and optimized to ensure a positive user experience. Additionally, mobile devices have unique technical constraints that must be taken into account when developing and testing apps, such as different screen sizes, operating systems, and input methods.

WebClues Global being one of the best ECommerce Mobile App Development Company, exactly knows what best fits for your business. We have a dedicated and talented team of mobile app developers working on various platform. We promise to deliver quality outputs to our valuable clients.

Quality assurance is a vital part of development. A code that is not tested is worthless until it is tested. Some programming platforms make it difficult to test the website though. Testing for mobile usage is still at a nascent stage and it's not possible to test websites on various real devices that resemble the real world.

Despite the better tools and conversation, most RWD websites still download the full content of the page on every screen resolution.

I think it's better to deal with web design for mobile and desktop as different applications because they are really different devices. A mobile device does not have the same screen size or the capabilities of a desktop or a surface machine and it has totally different experience. You can't have a floating menu panel that is always visible on a mobile screen. You can't make the design on a computer screen and expect it to function the same way on a mobile. Obviously, they are different. In the mobile world, you're always hit on the head with lots and lots of constraints on step one. Smaller screen, tiny memory, incompatible devices etc. So if you start with the mobile first approach, you will be very limited.

Edit: FYI Samsung now has a "revolutionary" new refrigerator with a Wifi enabled touchscreen that lets you manage your groceries, Would you consider a refrigerator first approach?

Yes , Quality assurance is most important aspects when considering apps development, but there is always a dependency on web application for mobile application too. As the admin work will always maintain at web application only & we have to validate the backend permission & reflection on mobile application.
