First of all P&L A/c is the Profit and Loss Statement. In some cases like manufacturing, transportation expenses on purchases are added to raw material cost, to calculate the exact cost of input units - (in Manufacturing A/c OR Trading A/c). But in the same company other transportation expenses like distribution to sales outlets etc are to be shown in P&L A/c.
