I would like to create a cartoon-ish animation based from3Ds Max. Thank you for your support.
I use gmax, the GNU free version of 3ds max. It has several plugins. I use the md3 exporter for the Quake 3 engine. The gtkradiant 1.2.11 has an excellent camera plugin. With any decent video capture tool you could catch nice cartoon animations created with the Quake 3 engine. All mentioned tools are for free.

Vray toon is better option
For a powerfull plugin that allows you to render cell shaders, look no firster than Cebas Final Toon. By far the best out there and with a ton of features.
Illustrate is a plugin that renders cartoon.
For cartoonic effect you have to use "VRay Toon" effect. Its very useful to create cartonic type renders.
