Job Role and Career updation of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
To provide engineering solutions to maintenance problems on the mechanical side of a production plant for example. On a power station his responsibility would be to calculate when the mechanical parts of the plant that are subject to wear and tear, when they should be maintenanced. Also could be to design equipment that would be used in maintenance.
On many occasions he does not have to calculate as the manufacturer of a part would stipulate as to when it should be maintained and how regularly the checds should be done.So he would then only have to make sure they are done and to keep record of it
