When you are honest you will take everything with justice and if you are not honest you can not proceed towards wisdom.

I think it’s hard to be wise if you are a liar. If you are a liar, how could anyone believe you even if you somehow managed to become wise?

I would think that a wise person would figure out that honesty is necessary for both learning and wisdom

It’s as long debatable topic as the meaning of the Wisdom itself. But if summarized, I can say that wisdom starts with honesty and ends with honesty

First we need to know what's difference between wisdom and honesty.

Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgment and it is the capacity to understand Emptiness. Wisdom varies among individuals. Some people can be wise and some no. It is not something you can learn from a book. On the other hand Honesty is telling the truth. It is straightforward conduct and Honesty is being sincere, truthful, trustworthy, honorable, fair, genuine, and loyal with integrity. When we are talking about good judgment and understanding emptiness in real our idea is honesty because honesty says us about truth. But it's not meaning every person is wise, he/she can be honest also. An honest person tells the truth and does not lie, cheat, or steal. An honest person does not hide anything. A person who is honest is frank and straightforward. Many person use honesty as policy but in real they are not honest and because they are wise, they can manage all goals based on that things they wish. From another side also Wisdom is not for everyone same like honesty. In my mind in this question I have to say" Honesty should be first chapter in the book of wisdom." Because all wise persons are not honest and all honest persons also are not wise. This sentence shows us value of honesty is more than wisdom.

Totaly right

In my humble opinion - Knowledge is the first chapter in the book of wisdom, without the benefit of knowledge, how can we follow the path to wisdom?

I guess sincerity and honesty should be to your true self because if its opinion based it can change as per circumstance so people should be honest to them selves rather than proving it to others so I agree to it

First of all, I love the question, I love idea of the Wisdom Book, a great idea.

I tried to relate wisdom with honesty, so I thought about the process. It starts with self-drive, passion and curiosity to learn and know more, and then this knowledge and experience develops with the creation of an independent thought process, and continuously enrich it with the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and enhance the thought process accordingly, and by time, wisdom is the result.

The honesty part would be in the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and essentially wisdom, as the information need to be accurate and true, and not makeup knowledge to prove one is right (credibility). Therefore, I believe honesty (credibility) is a chapter in wisdom, but perhaps in the later chapters, where I believe curiosity, choosing mentors, getting most of life experiences, and trying to gain more knowledge are amongst the first areas to be considered in the Wisdom Book.

Yes. Honesty is the key principle which can make us succeed in our goal whether it is personal or professional. Without honesty any tools or technique will be a failure. Honesty in the practice makes deploying rules or policies easy. Without this no data or information is a reliable data or an information.
