I will travel to the site to replace my site manager during the customer's visit. I will also ask my site manager to keep his mobile working at least with some one who will pass him any required urgent clarification.
A sa a prject manager, I should be fully aware of the project status and other prject team members should also be aware of thier respective tasks and we should be able to complete the task.
Actually, as a project manager I should be their irrespective of the availability of the site manager.

AS A PROJECT MANAGER I TRAVEL THE SITE AND REPLACE THE SITE SUPERVISOR DURING THE SITE VISIT IT IS MY DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO TAKE OVER OF MY SITE MANAGER EVEN HE OR SHE IS NOT AROUND YOU SHOULD TAKE HIS OR HER PLACE BEING AS HEAD OF THAT COMPANY CAUSE BEING AN EMPLOYEE OR A GOOD MANAGER YOU KNOW HOW TO BECOME ILLASTIC IN YOUR POSITION YOU HAVE,YOU HAVE THE CAPABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE OF HOW THE COMPANY RUNS,IN BE HALF OF YOUR SITE MANAGER YOU CAN DO WHAT HE CAN IN THIS CASE WE KNOW HOW FLEXIBLE YOU ARE AND BE PRAISE FOR YOUR ACHIEVEMENT MAY ALL HAVE BENIFITS NOT ONLY FOR YOUR OWN NAME BUT FOR THE COMPANY YOU ARE STANDING AND SERVING WITH.
C would be the most apt option. The project manager has to be aware of all the changes or modifications in design , if any, implemented to the systmen.
B- when the relation with the custommer is flexible and if a very good rapport is followed.
A- Not a humanitarian decision, but we have seen it can happen.
My personal option , as mentioned above is C
