marketing is showy..therefore beauty & appeal matters..Moreover,in most events and exhibitions70% of the entire footfall comes from pointless visitors, who turn up only to get the thrill..for the rest30% product, networking and business matters..So,it becomes indispensible for the company to glamorize so to pull the maximum crowd and create a buzz

Not entirely true. What truly attracts the attention of customers walking by is your body language. Having said that you need to consider all that adds to one’s body language

Smile:  It’s natural to react to a smile with a smile. It’s because an honest smile is and always will be comforting and welcoming to anyone approaching.

Posture:  When standing at stands your posture if full of energy will attract the attention of the customer.

Dressing: Tidy and well-dressed personals not only look professional but will always give an essence of freshness to the surrounding environment that includes people walking by.

Personalization: Unlike personalizing with the customer using their names or addressing to their specific needs. I am talking about eye contact. When a customer approaches you it is of utmost importance that along with all the above mentioned points you keep a strong eye contact with the customer before and during any conversation that may take place.

In simple you add all the above ingredients to a representative. They will look beautiful, appealing and comforting. While on the other hand you take away all the above mentioned qualities from a person with a beautiful face. It is only a matter of time when the customer decides to walk away.

That is true my friend!

Actually I was at an exhibition this afternoon and witnessed similar situation.

I think it is fine, and it is an acceptable and professional marketing twist.

If you want to attract more customers and you see that by hiring a beautiful lady at your stand is suitable with your products, then why not!

Its all part of the marketing mix....product positioning, creating an ambience that would make the customer feel that he/she belongs to that group of people who uses those products/services. Its part of human psychology getting attracted to beauty. So marketers play a lot with those tools to attract customers and new business.

Well it is the need of today, but not entirely adequate and useful, BEAUTY not only concerns with your face but it also relates to your personality, Gestures, and Dressing, Etiquettes and these are the things which are necessary for everyone. So in my opinion if you want to stand out in a crowed you should have a graceful and unique personality.

It CERTAINLY does. A good looking product will induce the customer to buy it. But the looks should be backed up by a real good product. Else the money spent on packaging or anything to make it look good is down the drain.

I highly agree considering the crowd and competition, your post images must stand out amongst them and captures someones attention. Having just quality products display for this type of event is not a crowd catcher unless it has a name in the industry.
