In my opinion , HR manager in this case without clarifications from top management , should meet the terminated employees and inform them " what is the TOP management decision " to not let them blame you at the end.

Keep your professional attitude at all times - this will be difficult but it will benefit you in the end.
Mentally detach yourself from the situation and if you can, politely physically remove yourself from the situation.
Keep your position on the situation very clear, use Why? What? Who? Which? Where? questions to help you answer some questions yourself. For example :
Why is the manager angry - is it related to you or something thing else? If he is angry because of something that has nothing to do with you or is beyond your control? Do not let the anger hinder you from progressing with your work.
What are the options? If you need managers input wait. Can you look at other ways to deal with matter?
Who can you discuss this matter with? If no-one else, wait to have a meeting with manager when you have all your information together and can discuss important points professionally. Which way do you want to deal with it? Informal meeting, formal meeting, with someone else present at the meeting?

Top Answer: This is actually not right but please be careful of any lapses in your working eviroment that could be traced to your table while your boss is away, kindly do everything within your capacity to fill in the gap for your boss not allowing what he did to affect the job. Respectfully call his attention to the company policies weeks after his resumption but not too official. keep mails of his misbehaviours not because you want to fight back but to guide your self when need arises. Top Answer: i have to give my boss appropriate measure or channel for he to be able to detect what the problem is that the officer was unable to deliver the correct files at the right time before scolding the officer and i would go on my own to find out what the problem before tendering the situation to my boss,you have to be calm
