Yes there is a big diffarnce, If you ask some body may we do like this or Whay not we do so, it means your decision is pending, and some times depend on other persons decision. It is decision making.

And if you Take decision you just order it, like do this work or start this work now. Mens you think and applied and do'nt care others viewpoint.

Making VS Taking

As an expert in this area of "Decision Science", many professionals are still sitting in the shadow of the real definition of the term; and they are looking to decipher the parameters of the result.

Decision MAKERS are usually the people that have been assigned to come up with solution to a single problem. Every member in the assigned team is required to support his/her decision regarding the matter.

Next, the best solutions (DECISIONS) only taken to only one, and the only one, who will TAKE the Decision, and hence, be responsible to any further shortcomings concerning his/her decision.

The decision TAKER usually is the highest post in any organization, and most of the time their decisions are influenced by the smartest decision MAKERS in their organization.

Its same

I thik there is no big different between decision making and decision taking as  to get some goal you will have to choose the possible, easy and short way ! so you can say take decision or make decision ! but the intention is same and in other way to run an organization you will have to choos some possible, easy and authentic way to groth of your organization. in this way what you will say you took the decision or made the decision ofcourse both or same but according to the situation you can ues them that is all !

i think decision making means you have to think of alternatives or plan, while in decision taking you have to take step or in other words, you have to order waht to do.

Yes, there is a diffrence between the two terms, however, they are being used interchangeably.  To make it clear, I will describe it from the perspective of the person involved in two processes. a decision maker is the person who gather the relevant data, analyze , interpret, and reach to specific alternatives with the associated impact of each. Then, The decision taker go for one of them according to his vision and expected outcome.

In simple words, Decision Making is an action of "TWO" or more than "TWO" people whereas Decision Taking is an "Individual" action.
