Being overqualified, how can you convince the prospective employer to hire you?

Some employers may reject your CV on the assumption that you, being overqualified, would ask for a salary higher than what they are willing to pay or jump ship once a better opportunity arises. Disregarding your CV means that you will not have the chance of discussing the salary issue in an interview. Do you think that you should address this issue in your cover letter? How do you handle this matter?

Be perfectly truthful, tell him that you know that you are "over qualified" but that you need the job. Tell him also that you will put heart and soul into the job regardless and that hopefully there will come a point in time whereby he will recognise your true worth and promote you to a position in the company better suited to your qualifications. Make no secret of your ambitions, any employer worth his salt will respect that. Of course there is always the possibility that the employer will think that you are just looking for a "stop gap" and are not in it for the "long haul" but be true to yourself. Again I quote an old Scottish saying: "What's for you, won't pass you by" (fate?).

Being overqualified must never be a problem for an employer . In reality an underqualified candidate would be a big problem . In spite of hiring3 average candidates , the employer should better hire one overqualified candidate .

First i think its my mistake , as i MUST know the requirments and the Qualifications needed for that Job , But if i am workless then i MUST accept any offer till i find the matched one for my dreal life time,

And the company which know well my Qualifications and my experince in order to hire me.

I think, the most important ascept of landing any kind of job, is to break the attention of you being over qualified or under qualified, to the idea to the employer about the how you are in the best position to accomplish the tasks needed to get the job done. If you employer is convinced of that then for sure, He will be slightly worried that you would leave in first instance. but that happens in any case, if you are offered a better job, rewards, one will leave anyhow

Does the recruiters '' employers'' have the sufficient knowledge, experience and skills  to evaluate a candidate?

Does the C.V and covering letter is enough mean to evaluate and understand candidate's abilitiy and desire?

Is there any standards enable recruiters to do  proper evaluation and helps in recruiting process?
