Groups and teams
GROUP is a more GENERAL and LOOSE term, and can be used in DIFFERENT CONTEXTS including : (1) individuals in a group (2) companies in a group, ...
TEAM on the other hand seems to be more SPECIFIC AND WELL DEFINED. We talk about teams of individuals (people) ...not teams of companies for example.
The other thing about teams is that they are more bound together towards a common goal or objective and have clear leader (TEAM LEADER), where this may not exist in groups and we do not usually see "Group Leader" ...
