If you are a person dosn't trust any one , but you can't do any thing except feel like trusting ( ! please don't understand this line )
Do the Following
1 - always get another Hard Drive ( with the same size of your hard ) and make clone to your hard disk to this new hard drive ( or at least make backup image )
Note : thats must be done before every time you setup a new program ( I recomended you to use increamental backup ) - observe you must test the program you install for some time and then after you trust this program you can make a backup and dont forget the trusted programs are very famus programs and there is a special magazins and orgnization test them and give them a Grades
2- you must keep your important data out side your computer alwayes ( use usb flash , or external hard )
3- then you can trust any one and make him help you for maintain the computer but you must ask him what happends to your computer exactlly and how he solve the problem , if the problem happend because of hardware that will be easy and if it was because of software you must know how you can solve it if it happend a gain then you can , format the hard and get your backup again and install the software that make the problem and solve the problem by your self
