When running post installation of arcsde on sql server 2008 r2, on repository creation it gives "native client error". what could be the reason? ‎

Thanks, However the  reason of the error was password, I were using a simple password for sde user but SQL Server had "enforce password policy".

make sure that SQL Server client components are installed. All the client libraries.
