    Job Description

    The Registrar at Abu Dhabi University reports directly to the Provost and serves as a member of Academic Council. The Registrar provides overall leadership for the Registration Office. The Registrar is responsible for:

    •Compilation and maintenance of student records in compliance with the requirements of accrediting bodies;
    •Developing and implementing the strategic plan for the Registration Office;
    •Training staff to provide outstanding customer service and accurate records management;
    •Serving as a primary point person in the planning and preparation of university graduation ceremonies;
    •Planning and implementation of class registration for each semester;
    •Maintaining confidentiality of student records through established procedures in the Registration Office;
    •Working with the faculty of the university to establish appropriate student record policies;
    •Supervising the implementation of the university’s student information system, providing training to staff as necessary;
    •Planning and monitoring the budget of the Registration Office;
    •Keeping abreast of the latest technologies related to registration and records maintenance; and
    •Hiring and evaluating personnel in the Registration Office


    •Bachelors Degree from an accredited university in a related field.
    •5 years experience in student services with minimum 4 years experience at management level.
    •Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
    •Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research accreditation standards.
    •Knowledge of USA system of transcription and registration.
    •Proven leadership in fiscal management including budget development, administration, and development of programs and personnel.
    •Proven skills in strategic planning, project and budget management, policy development, people management and resources management.
    •Experience with implementing a variety of record management technologies
