Conduct in-depth analysis of safety data to make recommendations for change to safety performance indicators and safety performance targets. Utilise trend information so that line managers across the Emirates Group can review and adjust their safety and risk management processes.
Research and prioritise the analysis of reactive investigations, audits and safety concerns to identify issues and provide scientific, mathematical and Human Factors support for the formulation of response / recommendation programmes related to the issues. Include a 'closed loop' feedback process to provide a measurable indicator of success and overall impact, thereby ensuring an effective and efficient reduction in related risk.
Liaise with the managers of safety related disciplines throughout the Emirates Group to ensure safety dashboards and other analytical productions provide relevant risk-based information in a suitable format for the line operational management to use in highlighting and resolving safety deficiencies, advising line managers when adverse trends are noted.
Advise Safety Managers on the suitability of risk assessment tools for conducting the varied risk assessments linked to reported issues, provide assistance, guidance and / or conduct the risk assessment process in liaison with the subject matter experts.
Provide system administrator control and oversight of the safety data system (s), maintaining the system(s) to the highest level required for efficient safety management, compliance with GCAA regulations for safety management systems and the Emirates Group SMS Manual, including software updates, enhancements and modifications through close liaison with EG-IT and the Mercator development team. Undertake the required liaison and technical processes to ensure that the safety data systems can extract and use required information from other company and external data / IT systems.
Conduct routinely planned quality assurance audit checks on the safety data system to monitor the accuracy and consistency of data, in accordance with the Emirates Group SMS Manual requirements and report any findings to Manager SMS, including advising on the corrective actions and data enhancement projects to maintain the quality of data at the highest level.
In liaison with the Safety Training Manager, plan and support safety system training across the Emirates Group, managing the training calendar, records and course syllabi, developing the training content to suit departmental specific requirements and monitoring the training delivery standards.

Certificates of training or equivalent certificate on Safety Management System (SMS), IOSH/NEBOSH would be advantageous.
Proven experience as an analyst working with Safety Data Systems.
Competency in statistical and mathematical modelling techniques.
5+ years experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the airline industry.
Demonstrated experience in data manipulation, process consultation, project management and problem solving preferred.
Analytical skills and the ability to perform statistical analysis of various business situations for operational safety.
