As with Dubai, an influx of people coming to live and work in Abu Dhabi has driven rental prices through the roof. Some of the larger international real estate agents have recently arrived in Abu Dhabi. Competition can be fierce so it is wise to do your homework before you arrive so you don’t end up with something overpriced and underrated. People coming to find a job in Abu Dhabi or work in Abu Dhabi should know that Abu Dhabi’s airport is the second largest in the UAE, serving 6.9 million passengers in 2007. Etihad Airways which is the second largest UAE airlines after Emirates Airlines is dominating its terminal spaces.
Banking
The official working hours in the Abu Dhabi banking sector are eight hours per day or 48 hours a week and Friday and Saturday are off. But for some banks, Friday is the only day off and Thursday is a half working day.
