    BDM (Business Development Manager)

    Description du poste

    FBD is a highly specialized research and development company working on a brand new, patent-pending financial software application. We seek a BDM (Business Development Manager) to help us manage the process of further developing it to meet the market’s standards and client expectations. Such final touches include, but are not limited to, further research into client’s needs (for adding any missing features or adjusting/fine tuning existing ones), which may require several meetings with potential clients. Besides, the product’s testing and documentation has to be finalized. Training sessions for new users may need to be organized on demand.

    •Developing new business relationships, generating and negotiating new income for FBD, to increase year on year.
    •Presenting FBD to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
    •Actively and successfully managing the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; and handover to the manager.
    •Individual responsibility for a brand new business. Expected to self-manage.
    •Creating and being accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following FBD procedures and standards.
    •Developing a thorough understanding of clients marketing objectives including their Return On Investment (ROI) objectives.
    •Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.

    Compétences

    A min. of 3 years of experience is expected in the same role (or a highly relevant one)
    A demonstrated previous experience in financial/stock markets, portfolio management, technical analysis, quantitative trading, equity market… is a must
    An IT background is a great plus. The application is a desktop application written in C# & deals with WCF and SQL Server
    Proven success in your sales ability & demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process
    Confident negotiator & ability to ‘close the deal’
    Strong client management skills & ability to keep promises
    Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas & solutions
    A positive & determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities
    Ability to use own initiative & pay close attention to detail
    Ability to cope with competing demands & to prioritize tasks
    Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, & presentation
    Excellent organizational and time management skills
    A positive attitude to dealing with people
    Capable of working independently, & having responsibility as an individual.
    Confidence to present a tailored presentation to potential client team by effectively using a range of presentation skills i.e. body language, voice tone etc.
    Ability
    -to deliver a tailored sales process to achieve targets/KPI’s by generating leads, asking probing questions, using most appropriate features & benefits based on clients’ needs and matching with a tailored solution
    -to identify new business opportunities using hit-wise/relevant research tools/sector specific targeting and cold calling
    -to manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailored documentation i.e. Presentations/proposals to meet clients’ needs
    -to co-ordinate the pitch process by effectively providing the relevant teams with a summary of clients’ technical and marketing needs in order to obtain relevant assessment strategy recommendations.
