The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for product development of a travel website.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Based in Dubai, UAE, we are currently looking to hire a fantastic Chief Technology Officer. This role will be responsible for the product development and management of our online travel company.



WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead all aspects of technology & product development in line with the companies strategic direction;
- Lead the strategy for technology platforms & partnerships;
- Build & manage the technology team & any outsourced contractors;
- own the security and maintenance of all technology platforms
- Recommend external vendors & provide internal solutions for business technologies such as sales CRM’s, database management etc.
- Create & deliver the technology & product roadmap to deliver the most awesome customer & stakeholder experiences
- Work closely with the executive team on customer & stakeholder feedback mechanisms to ensure an awesome customer experience
- Constantly innovate & drive/reward innovation across the team


THE CTO WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE CEO

Compétences

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

- 5-7+ years of online web experience, preferably managing a travel-related website;
- Experience managing and coaching development teams over 5 people (in-house and outsourced);
- Excellent project management skills;
- Proficiency with web development technology, including Magento, Photoshop, Google Analytics, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).;
- Experience working with a Global Distribution System (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travel Port;
- Extensive experience in using and developing tools for PPC, Social Media, Link Building, Content Writing, Email Marketing and/or other Internet marketing areas;
- A creative approach to eCommerce marketing for a young retail website - increase traffic, build mailing list, and drive sales;
- A comprehensive understanding of consumer site behavior through web analytics/metrics;
- The ability to analyze needs independently and the drive to initiate solutions and manage projects to completion;
- Ambitious, self-motivated problem solver with the proven ability to lead and collaborate;
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with attention to detail.
