Job Purpose:

Working on behalf of Elite and our client, a global Oil & Gas company, we are looking for two IT Technical team leads/solutions architects who will be responsible for overseeing the current & future infrastructure and application technical requirements. The role will be the technical authority for all aspects of network, systems and application portfolio.

The role comprises a one year contract working on a 28 days on / 28 days off rotation configuration at our client’s premises in Iraq (Basra).

Accountabilities:

• Partners with business analysts, systems analysts and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews
• Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives
• Works with enterprise architecture, application and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the project
• Providing technical leadership to all teams under your immediate supervision
• Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles
• Ensuring all HSSE policies are adhered to by project team’s on the premise
• Creating and supporting all potential project opportunities to upper management including estimated costs, risk assessments and potential gain etc.
• Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles
• Carry out and documenting all incident / investigations reports relating to projects under your management
• Communicate progress effectively to senior business stakeholders
• Oversee technical quality control throughout project’s lifecycle
• To identify and resolve any conflicts within the technical teams.

Compétences

Skills/Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
• Must have experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Relevant IT qualifications applicable to job specifications or other relevant qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Technical Team projects
• Proficient in relevant Engineering software’s
• Good communication skills
• Strong leadership and influential skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to see the ‘big picture’
• Work with all levels of staff up to top management
• Good negotiation skills
