    Our client, a major Oil and Gas operator in the Middle East is seeking for a PMO lead to work in their busy IT Projects area within their offices in Iraq.


    The Role:
    The role is to support the Project Management Office and Senior Project Managers in the delivery of the IT portfolio across all programs/projects. Working as an interface between project teams, key business stakeholders and the IT Manager, the role will be to deliver project reporting, monitor risks/ issues and track actions on all in-flight projects in the current portfolio. In addition, the PMO will support activities that generate future project opportunities that input into the 2012 planning cycle.

    Duties:

    The PMO lead will be responsible for the following:

    • Driving standardization and consistency in recording and tracking of finances, deliverables and milestones against acceptance criteria
    • Supporting and maintaining work stream collation of project plans into overall work stream schedule and portfolio summary pack
    • On-going QA and tracking of work stream plans, highlighting key areas of slippage or potential slippage to Migration and Transformation Manager
    • Working with Reporting Function produce updates & slippage reports for weekly/monthly status meetings
    • On-going maintenance, QA and tracking of Resource/Demand plans, highlighting resource hotspots and documenting actions required
    • Produce reports of demand profile vs. resource commitment for weekly/monthly status meetings
    • Support communication of project progress through production of standard reports via defined templates
    • Collation and QA of packs for weekly work stream meetings, consolidating information from plans, governance schedule, Risk, Issue & Change logs. Capturing, documenting and tracking of core meeting actions
    • Creation, collation and documentation of ad hoc reports and processes, with support from appropriate project team members

    Compétences

    • Project Management techniques (PRINCE 2)- Planning, forecasting and financial control experience
    • Extensive Oil and Gas background
    • Fully proficient in MSP, Excel and PowerPoint- Strong analytical skills
    • Change/Programme management and delivery experience
    • Able to work as part of a team and within a Matrix organization
    • Motivated, driven and a self-starter, happy to seek out issues and resolve pro-actively
    • Ability to present findings in a compelling manner and to various management levels
    • Experience of working in an IT and IS program environment
