Senior Accountant (General Ledger)

Key tasks:

• Timely preparation of monthly accounts by downloading the final trial balance from the ERP system, grouping and classifying General Ledger accounts; enabling management to review the monthly operational results and financial position of the company
• Monthly closing of accounts by preparing, verifying and posting of monthly Journal entries including interest provision, CWIP provision, monthly salary accrual, etc.
• Analyze Expenses, Accruals, and Provisions to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
• Review / Verify weekly collections reconciliation and allocation and record it in ERP Financials.
• Record Monthly Billing into ERP system.
• Process and validate customer refunds.
• Review the additions / deletions in Fixed Assets and ensure the timely closure of FA module and to run the depreciation.
• Post data to financial system (journal vouchers, invoices).
• Maintain deposit, prepayments and provision ledger.
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
• Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries.
• Continuous review of Trial Balance to ensure the accuracy of the numbers related to AR, Income, Expenses, FA etc.
• Perform other duties as and when required.

Compétences

• Degree in Commerce or Accounting with 7 years relevant experience. Certified Accountant with 3 to 4 years relevant experience would be preferable
• General or management accounting experience preferably in process industries
• Experience working with accounting software and/or Oracle ERP
• Outstanding time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines
