About the Position:
The Energy & Power Systems (EPS) business unit of Frost & Sullivan is seeking industry experts for Industry Analyst/ Project manager positions. The EPS business unit brings together experienced marketing, market research and consulting experts who have significant exposure to, and a comprehensive understanding of, the Oil & Gas Upstream equipment and services markets in South Asia and Middle East, working on a variety of custom research and consulting projects.

The ideal candidate brings a mix of strong domain knowledge, market experience and functional skills relating to market research and growth consulting.

What the job entails?

• Track the developments in the Upstream Oil & Gas market regularly (technology developments, new projects, new opportunities, policies, supply chain)
• Work on a variety of syndicated market studies, custom research and consulting engagements
• Actively contribute in research and market analysis to execute bespoke consulting engagements in the Oil & Gas industry
• Develop strategic content on specific industries and markets; contribute to print media, etc.
• Interact with analysts at different level in an empathetic manner with single minded focus on timely and successful completion of projects
• Manage project teams to deliver client presentable research which is highly qualitative, factual, thoroughly analysed, timely and with zero-errors

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Leadership - Manage project teams and ensure the delivery of market research & growth consulting engagements from initial scoping discussions to completion. Confidently present and communicate project outcomes at C-level.
• Support Business Development - Assist the business development team in conducting detailed business needs analysis and demonstrate expert industry knowledge. Assist in creation of project proposals and ensure that a client's strategic intent translates into a Frost & Sullivan consulting solution.
• Research and Strategic Evaluation - Develop market intellectual property and powerful, actionable strategic recommendations based on a comprehensive understanding of the Client's markets/industry.
• Domain Expertise - Act as an industry expert and advisory function.
• Team Development - Lead, mentor and motivate junior Consultants & analysts; promoting innovative ideas and developing/implement consulting best practice/process.

The Oil & Gas sub-sector would cover research relating to, but not limited to Oilfield services, and products including Tubulars (Oil Country Tubular Goods = OTCG), Downhole Tools, Bits, Wellheads, X-Mas trees, BOPS

Compétences

Requisite Qualifications:

1. Educational Background
• Bachelor of Engineering
• Business Administration - MBA / PGDBA / PGP preferred but not mandatory

2. Relevant Experience & Necessary skills
• Candidates with 6 - 8 years’ experience in any of the following
o Mainstream Industry (Sales of or Procurement of Upstream Oil & Gas product /equipment/ services supplier, EPC Projects.)
o Research / Consulting (Upstream Oil & Gas)
• A pro-active, methodical and innovative working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast paced, business consulting environment
• Able to conduct detailed business needs analysis and acumen to interpret/analyse/evaluate data and present key findings at a senior level.
• Strong project management skills, with previous experience of mentoring, motivating and inspiring people.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Upstream Oil & Gas industry (including an appreciation of the industry structure, operational practice, business functionalities and competitive landscape).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with business fluency in English language.

Note: The Upstream Oil & Gas industry is defined here as the phase dealing with Exploration & Production phases and specifically excludes refining/ storage/ petrochemicals/ pipelines. Candidates with this form of background need not apply.
