    About the role:

    The Senior Planning Manager will lead a team of Planners and Allocators in a dynamic, fast-growing, branded Retail business. This new and high-profile role will have direct interface with the GM and other senior members of the management team.
    The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience :

    FINANCIAL PLANNING

    - Direct and build multi-year financial plans in support of brand objectives. 

    - Create and execute business strategies designed to meet or exceed revenue, turnover, and margin goals, seize new business opportunities, and adapt to evolving market conditions within each region. 

    - Evaluate financial performance to pre-season targets by sub-department, and recommend strategic business shifts based on opportunities and risks, through monthly forecast and action plans to senior management and regular open-to-buy team meetings.

    - Present divisional financial position, results, forecast, and action plans to senior management and team members during regular business recap meetings.  Include total sales, comp sales, gross margin, operating margin, and inventory turnover.

    - Partner with Finance team to manage the department P&L.


    MERCHANDISE PLANNING

    - Partner with Buying and Merchandising to strategize, develop, and manage divisional, departmental, and class bottom-up merchandise plans, using historical data, market feedback, and current market trends.  Develop promotional and markdown strategies to manage inventory and maximize profitability.

    - Recommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and customer expectations in line with the annual product development calendar.  Constantly analyze inventories to determine how to increase turnover and reduce mark-out-of-stocks.


    ALLOCATION

    - Recommend and execute seasonal and tiered merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and customer expectations.  Develop departmental distribution strategies to capture  location-based opportunities.

    - Manage and oversee all allocation, store planning, and merchandise planning strategies and processes.

    - Manage fixture and store capacity plans at the total store level; ensure buying strategies and processes dovetail with and optimize store unit requirements.  Oversee and approve model stocks, size analysis, and store volume ranks.


    LEADERSHIP / MANAGEMENT

    - Manage and supervise the career development process for a team of 12-15 by mentoring, promoting rapid skill development, identifying strengths, and improving performance.  Direct formal and informal training to produce a team that contributes consistent financial growth to the business.

    - Communicate key timelines, deliverables, expectations, and priorities to the Planning and Allocation teams.

    - Provide leadership in a multi-unit environment.  Provide thoughtful counsel which will enable senior management to make informed decisions and achieve profitable growth.

    - Create a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers, divisional, and cross-functional partners including Retail Operations, Product, and Logistics teams.

    Compétences

    Skills and Experience:


    - Bachelor Degree in a related field

    - At least 5 years experience in a senior management planning function

    - Minimum of 2 years in the GCC region

    - Previous management experience

    - Fluent in English
