Abu Dhabi Medical Devices Co. L.L.C. “MEDECO” was established in 1999 as a joint venture company between Abu Dhabi National Industrial Projects Co. “ADNIP” – U.A.E. and Pharmaplan GmbH – Germany. MEDECO started commercial operations in 2000 and specialized in the manufacturing of high quality Medical Devices. As part of its contribution to Injection Safety, in 2003 MEDECO commissioned a new line dedicated to the production of Auto-Disable Syringes and became the first manufacturer of Auto-Disable (AD) Syringes in the Middle East and Africa. WHO approved MEDECO inject AD syringes under PQS no. E8/04. The unique technique used for the Auto-Disable Mechanism gives it a clear advantage over other syringes.
