The dynamics & accompanying construction needs of UAE in making were appreciated by the Founders, Mohammed Salem Al-Dahiri and Amal Hourani, who way back in 1968 founded Al Ain General Contracting Company (ALGECO) in the garden city of Al Ain. Well defined policy, ambitious but achievable goals, dedication, client satisfaction and above all welfare of employees enabled it to grow & become a reliable & sound construction company in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. ALGECO has branch offices in Abu Dhabi and Beirut, Lebanon. As specialist civil engineers, ALGECO has completed diverse building projects, facilities and structures for the UAE Armed Forces. It has, successfully undertaken some turnkey works. In addition it has constructed highrise residential towers and villas, civic centres, shopping arcades, industrial complexes, major drainage facilities and sport complexes. The process of expansion and diversification enabled ALGECO to create its own Design, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Plumbing Departments. These are fully supported by its carpentry and joinery shop, a steel workshop and qualified and skilled supervisors and labor in the field. In harmony with speed of construction and the prevailing climatic conditions, ALGECO has set up a roof and wall panel assembly factory. This facility has greatly enhanced the capability of ALGECO. Over the years ALGECO has been able to build a reliable and well integrated set up drawn from many and diverse nationalities, all moulded into one team, rich in experience, professional and dedicated. This has been made possible through intensive in house on the job training and even acquisition of specialized training, continuous upgrading of skills and above all motivation and high morale, a result of dedicated welfare policy.
