Collection Specialist (Accounting Major)

About the role: As a Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from customers. Your primary objective will be to minimize delinquency rates and improve the overall cash flow of the company. You will utilize your excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with customers, resolve payment issues, and ensure timely payments. Key Responsibilities:



+ Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, including communication details and payment commitments.
+ Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
+ Process customer payments, apply them accurately to customer accounts, and update the accounting system.
+ Prepare regular reports on collection activities, delinquency rates, and overall accounts receivable status.

Qualifications:



+ Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or relevant field
+ 0-2 Years of Experience is a Collection Specialist or relevant role.
+ Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable management.
+ Strong knowledge of collection strategies, techniques, and best practices.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
+ Proficiency in using accounting software.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
