This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data architecture to support business requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide optimal solutions.
Develop, test, and deploy ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move and transform data from source systems to data warehouses.
Build and optimize data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading of large volumes of data.
Create and maintain data models, ensuring consistency, integrity, and performance of databases.
Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards.
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide the necessary infrastructure.
Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring data availability and reliability.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and workflows.
Implement and adhere to data security and compliance measures to protect sensitive information.
Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+years of experience in data engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing data solutions.
Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Apache Beam, Talend)
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Spark).
Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with cloud-based data services.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
