Summary: The Head of Business Systems Development role requires an experienced IT senior management member who is a self-starter, assertive, confident, detail-oriented, innovative and enthusiastic to be part of the company's AFRICA Technology leadership team heading the Business Systems Development with the focus on the delivery operations, improvements, integration, big data analytics and business intelligence, Core & non–core business applications.
Responsibilities:
Ensure adequate alignment with the company's Business demands and priorities.
Ensure timely delivery of business critical applications and/or products in accordance to agreed timelines.
Consult with the company's management and regional business leaders to define systems and/or products roadmaps guided by the Group Technology strategy.
Deliver business solutions in accordance to the strategic roadmap
Lead team responsible for managing and developing business systems with high quality.
Define and manage a robust process for evaluating, developing, and testing the company's systems in scope, including 3rd party software solutions where applicable.
Setting and maintain group technology delivery standards.
Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Group Data Protection standards
Mentoring and training existing and new regional technology staff including career planning
Management and on time delivery of software projects
Align with the company's group technology standards and architecture to deliver business systems/products.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Communication Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in IT business applications, including 5 in director-level position managing payment, banking and financial sector applications.Solid expertise and knowledge of end-to-end information technology management, operations and domain expertise.
Solid knowledge of the information technology function and operations in provider organizations (preferably banking setting)
Have experience and technical expertise, coupled with an understanding of business and management principles.
Solid experience in software delivery management.
Mastering service oriented process model (Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operations) and continual service improvement
