Internationalization Support: Provide guidance and support to development teams on internationalization best practices, ensuring that software is designed and developed with localization in mind.
Localization Tools and Automation: Evaluate, implement, and optimize localization tools, technologies, and automation solutions to streamline localization processes, increase efficiency, and improve the quality of localized content.
File Preparation and Extraction: Prepare software files for localization, extract translatable content, and ensure the proper formatting and structure for efficient translation and localization.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with localization teams to perform linguistic and functional testing of localized content, ensuring accurate translations, proper functionality, and adherence to cultural requirements.
Bug Fixing and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve localization-related bugs and issues, working closely with development teams to implement fixes and ensure smooth localization deployment.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to localization engineering, and proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for localization engineering processes and tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Localization Engineer, Software Engineer, or related role.
Strong knowledge of software development practices, including internationalization and localization concepts.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Experience with localization tools and technologies, such as CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, version control systems, and localization management systems.
Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and content management systems (CMS).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality localized content.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
