Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for aSAP Support Specialist - Basis  for one of our partners, a global leader in the chemical industry field.
Job Summary:
SAP Support Specialist- Basis is responsible for managing the technical infrastructure of SAP S/4 systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of SAP environments by implementing best practices, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement system enhancements, upgrades, and migrations to support business objectives and requirements.  The responsibilities will encompass system administration, performance optimization, security management, and ensuring the overall stability and reliability of the SAP environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP S/4HANA systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
  • Administer SAP security policies and user access control. Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Plan and execute SAP software upgrades, including support package installations, and apply necessary patches as required. Ensure the SAP Kernel is kept up to date through proactive maintenance.
  • Manage the SAP transport landscape to facilitate the secure and seamless transfer of SAP objects between systems.
  • Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and security audits to safeguard data integrity.
  • Diagnose and address technical issues and system outages swiftly to ensure minimal disruption and support SAP related incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to design and implement SAP solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with standards.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and configuration with a focus on SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SAP system architecture, including SAP HANA.
  • Proficiency in SAP system installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Strong grasp of SAP security administration, including authorization concepts.
  • Knowledgeable in backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems.
  • Demonstrates mastery in navigating and managing SAP Basis components, ensuring robust system configurations and optimal performance
  • Familiarity with database management systems, operating systems, and network protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in system monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL or similar support frameworks is advantageous.
