YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:
Designing various automotive mechanical parts used in our vehicles.
Creating 3D models using SolidWorks as well as creating 2D drawings and maintaining engineering documentation flow to manufacture and assemble products
Doing the needed stress analysis simulations to assure the safety of the design.
Leading the continuous improvement of existing system design (Review and approve drawings and Bills-of-Materials for release)
Coordinate feedback from other teams to continuously improve product designs.
Participating in the quality objectives of the design department regarding minimum waste of raw material, decreasing manufacturing cost, and decreasing product man-hour to increase productivity
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
3+ years of experience designing mechanical components and systems from concept through production validation (Preferably an automotive background).
Familiar with design for manufacturing (DFM) and different manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, etc.
Strong knowledge of stress analysis software (SolidWorks simulation, ANSYS, ABAQUS, etc.).
Strong knowledge of cooling systems, Hydraulic systems & Refrigeration.
Ability to multitask and prioritise projects while tracking own responsibilities.
Analyse various manufacturing issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Previous experience using an ERP system (preferably SAP) is a plus.
