The Senior HSE Advisor acts as the focal point for designated Project HSE Management Matters. They shall provide a support function to Project Management, ensuring adequate HSE input and provide a mentoring role to the HSE Advisors.
They shall be responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to designated areas of the business including Projects and to the HSE function, as required.
They contribute to the development and implementation of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of Subsea 7’s, and its applicable Clients, overall HSE strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Manages and leads their direct reports aligned with the overall expectations of the function and respective Client’s. Plans for the resources required for the Project and work scopes accordingly. Leads a positive HSE culture and behaviours across Subsea 7 and particularly within their sphere of influence. Champion the Subsea 7 Critical Safety Behaviours Programme, setting the tone and leading by example. Ensures compliance to HSE Policies, Processes and Procedures. Proactively engages with the team including the Projects and Management including the workforce to ensure alignment of the business goals. Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the function’s and Project’s activities within the designated area of responsibility. Coordinates the compilation of HSE Performance Statistics and records for publication including carrying out trend analysis reviews. Responsible for the development of specific HSE Plans and Procedures accordingly for the Project and function, as required. Supports the implementation of the operational elements of the HSE strategy as well as support specific HSE activities. Interface with colleagues in HSE to coordinate the local HSE services and provide advice. Analyses budget costs and supports the team in preparation of annual budget submissions, as applicable. Liaises with Client representatives on HSE matters and participates in relevant Client HSE forums.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE



Degree / Academic Qualification in an HSE related discipline. Have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience. Regional experience working within the subsea offshore or related industry, some of which must be in a dedicated HSE Marine Offshore Oil & Gas Construction position. Regional experience of directly interfacing between clients, contractors, suppliers, project team members and the workforce. Membership of a recognized HSE professional body (IOSH, CSP, etc.); Hold relevant HSE Certification (NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH or equivalent). Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.) Skills Possesses strong communication and coordination skills. Is a Team Player who works well under pressure and under minimum supervision.

PERSONAL SKILLS



Strong analytical skills. Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working. Sound communication skills – able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc. The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision. The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously. Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions.
