As a Stock Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels across our retail locations. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to analyze data will be instrumental in ensuring accurate stock levels, minimizing losses, and supporting overall business operations.


Key Accountabilities

The position involves:


  • Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate and efficient management of stock levels within the retail stores.
  • Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure sufficient stock availability for sales operations.
  • Stock Allocation: Work closely with store managers to allocate stock appropriately based on demand, sales trends, and store-specific requirements.
  • Stock Accuracy: Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
  • Inventory Analysis: Analyze sales data, stock movement reports, and other relevant metrics to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock allocation.
  • Stock Transfers: Facilitate inter-store stock transfers as needed to balance inventory levels and fulfill customer demand.
  • Damaged/Defective Stock Management: Implement procedures for identifying, documenting, and processing damaged or defective stock, ensuring appropriate action is taken in accordance with company policies.
  • Loss Prevention: Collaborate with the loss prevention team to implement measures to prevent stock loss, theft, or shrinkage.
  • Systems Management: Utilize inventory management systems and software to track stock movements, update records, and generate reports.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and streamline stock control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


We Are Looking For:


  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or related roles within the retail industry, preferably in fashion retail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in stock tracking, counting, and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, processes, and business needs.
