Application Specialist

The purpose of the role is to work with business stakeholders to support leveraging ERP technology to drive functional objectives and support initiatives to achieve these objectives. 

Ensures ERP Systems activity aligns with business objectives and maximizes the effectiveness and competitiveness of Wood. Ensuring maximization of procedures and efficiency alongside the operational functional teams. 

The Techno-Functional role is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of both functional processes and technical systems to design, implement, and support solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to translate requirements into scalable, efficient system solutions.

Collaborates and partners with key business stakeholders, internal IT Team to deliver optimized efficiency and performance through technology and drives business process continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Supports the ERP Systems Manager in the delivery of effective practice which complements the implementation delivery and blueprint. Support the ERP Systems Manager in leading function-driven projects and initiatives

Business & Functional Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements
• Support business process mapping and optimization initiatives

Technical Solutioning

• Design and implement system configurations and enhancements
• Partner with development teams to build, test, and deploy solutions
• Provide technical expertise in system integrations, APIs, and data flows
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement timely resolutions

System Support & Maintenance

• Serve as a liaison between business users and IT teams
• Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and enhancements
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
• Manage change requests, upgrades, and releases

• Stakeholder Management

  
  
• Communicate effectively with business users, developers, and IT leadership
• Provide training and documentation to end-users
• Facilitate workshops, demos, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Data & Reporting

  
  
• Analyze data to support business decision-making
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems

Qualifications:

Qualifications: Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent years of experience (majoring in systems would be a bonus) 

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in a techno-functional, business analyst, or similar role
• Strong understanding of business processes and Oracle EBS R12.2 ERP systems
• Experience with system implementations and integrations
• Proficiency in tools such as SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, XML Publisher, Excel, and reporting platforms
• Techno Functional Expertise in one or more of projects, finance, supply chain modules of Oracle ERP
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, Experience with oracle APIs, interfaces, data migration, and workflow automation
