ARMS Senior Reliability Engineer

Applies a wide variety of reliability techniques across diverse industries and client organizations. Works on multiple projects of a moderate size or as part of major projects. Manages projects and demonstrates Leadership capabilities in influencing and developing others. Is an advisor and coach/trainer in a wide variety of Reliability methods and ARMS approaches. Trained in Leadership and people management techniques. Actively engaged in business development and has a deep understanding of the different ways clients run their ASM, APM and how to identify the optimal outcomes for client success. Leads by example and creates multiple options to achieve optimal outcomes, demonstrates behaviors which enhance others success and always acts as if the business were their own.


As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:


  • Being effectively applies a wide variety of Reliability techniques to a diverse range of industries and effectively manages a project from beginning to end to meet customer expectations and all project deliverables. The SRE works as part of a team and often as a team leader, to lead and influence fellow Engineers.
  • Having General Characteristics Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.
  • Being Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Acquiring general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
  • Identifying ways to enhance ARMS and clients' success and how they can personally contribute.
  • Actively encourages and contributes to team culture to enhance others' success for the greater benefit of ARMS,
  • Analyzing strategic options to ensure the best possible outcomes whilst enhancing the success of others', respectfully.
  • Being Strong computer literacy, proficient in use of Microsoft office products, data analysis applications and experience in maintenance control databases and enterprise management software
  • Training in project management approaches and software, and able to demonstrate competency in all stages of project execution.

To be successful in this role you will have:


  • Have at least 5 years industry experience in a maintenance/reliability role gained in mining, processing, oil & gas, utilities, or manufacturing. 
  • Have Experienced in the application of reliability methods and techniques gained within relevant industry. 
  • Have Experienced in data analysis including extraction from various data sources the ability to summarize data into conclusions. 
  • Have Experienced in managing projects and able to demonstrate skills in all project elements including timelines, deliverables, and budgets. 
  • Have Experienced in managing and coaching a team of people.
  • Have Experienced in the preparation and delivery of professional presentations.
  • Have Experienced in leading multi-disciplined groups in the facilitation of problem solving and/or process / maintenance improvement studies.

Delivering Engineering Services


  • Have Undertaken and ensure effective application of Reliability Studies using various Reliability Methods including but not limited to OnePM, Isograph AWB, Fault Tree, FMECA, Lifecycle Cost Calculations, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Have Experience in Leading Projects
  • Have Competently facilitate problem solving sessions using Apollo Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Have Manages a project from beginning to end.
  • Have Client Interface Regularly liaise with clients and maintain positive relations.
  • Have Project Management and Administration Manage overall project budgets, timelines, and deliverables. 
  • Have Set project budgets & forecasts. 
  • Have Built detailed project plans including project steps and resources.
  • Have Establish and maintain a project log as per defined standards.
  • Have Determine the reporting structure and supporting documentation needed for presenting solutions to clients. 
  • Have Identify value extension through additional work or additional projects.
  • Have Report project status at weekly intervals (internally & externally)
  • Have Data Handling and IT skills Develop value added data handling solutions and continuously improve understanding and application of Reliability methods and One PM to enhance the formulation of client solutions and find better ways of delivery our services and utilizing our software.
  • Have experience in Managing Time, Budgets and Deliverables Manage the administration for project logs, ensuring accurate reporting of time and expenses for the entire project to support the company’s invoicing and payroll processes.
  • Have Report project status at weekly intervals (internally & externally)
  • Have Experience Presentations Prepare technical papers or presentations for technical society, conferences, industrial publications, and customers.

Training              


  • Have Train others in Reliability methods for client in-house training and public seminars for ASM.
  • Have Actively Contribute to Business Development     Identify & follow up potential business opportunities for sales growth across the full suite of ARMS products and services.
  • Have Support and contribute to the sales and marketing process by providing case studies and project presentations as requested. 
  • Have Coaching and Mentoring Coach/Mentor their project team or others in the effective execution of Engineering Services projects.
