Job Summary: Join our team as  Assistant Manager - Application Engineering and use your engineering skills and knowledge of Fisher Sizing Software to design and select the best product for our customers. You will also prepare and respond to techno-commercial offers and technical queries.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 


  • Responsible for sizing and selection and on time quotation to customer, cleaning of orders specification after receipt of PO and handing over to detailing engineers. 
  • Supervise and guide application engineers and senior application engineers reporting to this position. Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly commitments for on time quotations.
  • For MRO enquiries, Interact with the service team & customer and also with our team for investigating the damaged valves/Parts and Spares quote preparation. For project - Prepare quote for spares and also prepare the group to follow the project spares philosophy. Like 10% of trim Parts, soft parts and 20% accessories etc.
  • To prepare the technical deviation in line with our capability and customer requirements. Also to build awareness with customer to accept benefits of our offering.
  • Provide Technical/Price revisions as applicable after the TQ and after receiving PO, check the PO for the details (like technical & Delivery) and Intimate customer/branch in case of any discrepancy and OPS/FF2 cleaning.
  • To commit the order into FF2 for the order processing after review and Order submission to Order entry.
  • To support purchase team on Imported valves technical clarification request from Singapore
  • To support quality team on Inspection comments and liaison with customer.
  • To support service team in customer comments / compliance and support on Final Documentation.
  • To visit Reliance plants on regular basis, meeting the plant leads and conducting site walks and to be able to develop good rapport with Reliance instrumentation team leads/engineers/ procurement team.

For This Role, You Will Need:


  • Proven experience within the Oil & Gas Industry and knowledge within the Control Valve Industry;
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant technical field (e.g. instrumentation, process technology or electronics). Candidates without the required education or years of experience may be considered depending on other qualifications and/or ability to demonstrate an ability to learn.
  • Hands on knowledge and experience of control valves sizing & selection.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to maintain high level of personal credibility in front of customers and colleagues alike.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with various parts of the business to achieve goals;
  • Mechanical proficiency and visualization skills to build and select the best product for the clients (preferred).
  • Awareness of internal and industry standards as related to position responsibility (preferred).
  • Ability to make presentations and persuade the customer (preferred)
