About the role:
The role comprises of building out Test Strategy, Test Planning, Scheduling, Implementing and Delivering for test automation services for multiple clients across the globe in Capital Markt division. Building out efficiencies with innovative thought process to accelerate the implementations is going to be the key focus.
About the team:
- Shared Technical Servies (STS) which is part Professional Services group under the umbrella of capital markets.
- Team provides the test automation services across Capital Markets for multiple domains including different lines of business e.g. Treasury, Lending, Cleared Derivatives and Securities.
- The team consists of Business Analysts (SMEs) as well as Automation Engineers, who liase with clients,
Professional Services Subject Matter Experts to understand their requirements to build out the test automation strategy including but not limited to providing end to end test management, Performance testing to accelerate the implementation for the customers. - Global teams in 3 regions (India, Europe, US)
What you will be doing:
- You will be playing the role of a senior leader role & leading the Automation Testing Engineering Team for one or part of one of the LOBs
- End to end testing experience including E2E test strategy, analysis of existing test strategy, gap analysis, and working across teams to mature end to end test strategies.
- You will be liaising and partnering with clients to understand their implementation / upgrade plans, understand the requirement, aligning and managing delivery of test automation (new custom test scripts and existing regression suite run) with their plan, proactively managing risks with mitigation plans.
- You will be responsible for building Test Strategy (including enhancing automation suite with incremental product versions features) in collaboration with clients, higher management, and Product Development teams.
- Resource planning and future capacity planning to be able to manage and deliver as per Client plans, taking into consideration new and upcoming projects, resource strengths and skills, resource experience levels etc.
- You will be required to come up with suggestions and ideas w.r.t. industry wide best automation practices to increase operational efficiency and productivity of team. Also, conduct regular reviews periodically to identify the areas of improvement and efficiency.
- You should bring to use your own individual expertise and experience on Test Automation particularly with Selenium and Java to design new framework and optimize existing frameworks, mentor, and train team to follow niche automation practices.
- You will be required to communicate and collaborate effectively with Clients and all stakeholders wrt planning, risk management, status reporting, hiring strategy and training plans.
- You will be conducting a thorough analysis of project requirements with the product, PS and client teams, to identify test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
What you will need:
- Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, or an equivalent level degree
- Finance domain knowledge around Capital Markets in any one of line of business i.e. Treasury, Lending, Commercial Banking etc.
- 15+ years of experience in Software Testing/Implementation including Client Relationship Management
- Practical experience in successfully leading Automation Teams of mid/large size from operational standpoint including resource planning, managing leaves, appraisal cycles etc.
- Proven leadership qualities in timely delivery of projects with good sustainable quality, managing and mentoring teams for best results.
- Proven experience on Test Automation particularly with Selenium, Java, Junit, TestNG, Rest Assured, API testing tools eg Postman, Hybrid/Data/Keyword Driven Frameworks.
- Practical exposure to any test management tool e.g. Zephyr, Test Link, Test Rail
- Design and execute Hiring Strategy in cohesion with stakeholders and higher management
- Build and maintain strong relationship with Clients, both internal and external.
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to empower and develop individuals and team
- Proactively identify areas for performance improvement and optimization of processes
- Understand business risks/impact, come up with mitigation plans, timely escalation
Added bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum
- Knowledge of AI tools e.g. CoPilots, Premium Teams etc
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and JIRA plugins e.g. Zephyr, X Ray
- Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
