As an employee of Chubb India and a member of Chubb’s Global Marketing, Communications, and Investor Relations Team, the AVP, Communicationswill be responsible for developing and implementing Chubb’s internal and external communications strategy across Chubb’s Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar engineering centers. 


The ideal candidate is an inquisitive storyteller with exceptional writing, editing and research skills, and is an agile multi-tasker who can work seamlessly across many internal constituents, external parties, and time zones. They are able to switch gears quickly to promote Chubb amongst desirable talent in the marketplace, internal communications priorities and announcements, events, and local partnerships - to name a few areas - with ease and with proficiency. H/she will have a nose for journalism, a newsroom DNA to make sure storytelling is fresh, timely and high impact. H/she must also understand cultural nuances around writing, editing, video producing and have hands-on experience with various content formats. Writing, digital/social media, and video samples will be required. 


The AVP, Communications will collaborate with Chubb’s global head of integrated communications and the other engineering centers located in North America, Mexico, and Greece to ensure of consistency in communications messaging, practices, and methods. Working on recruiting and retention communications for the center and apprising the HR team on marketing possibilities for talent attraction will be key. They will show proven experience in developing and delivering impactful communication campaigns; and bring new creativity, ideas and experience to the team. 


Ideally, the candidate will come to Chubb with an understanding of technology, digital transformation efforts, and have an understanding of digital business subject matter, how to apply data and analytics to showcase their impact and results in easy to digest and timely updates to senior leaders. They will assist with writing points of view and content for key audiences. Writing samples will be required. 


This role operates on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and is based in Hyderabad. It will report directly into the Head of the India Engineering center with a matrix into the Global Marketing and Communications team.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborating with senior leaders on internal and external-facing materials.
  • Crafting leadership communications, employee communications and external communications for social media.
  • Drafting of presentations, talking points, and internal emails, as well as social media posts representing the organization. 
  • Exercise judgment and advice regarding message tone, format, timing, vehicle, and audience to ensure the best and most effective approach to achieving communication goals.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree required – journalism, public relations, or marketing major preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in a communications role required.
  • Insurance or Financial Services industry experience preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities, including spelling and grammar with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with aptitude for managing simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven work environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills; takes initiative and effectively collaborates with colleagues from adjacent teams as needed to achieve shared goals.
  • Confident self-starter who is also a collaborative team player.
  • A proactive and solutions-driven strategic thinker.
