Azure VDI SME

Summary:

Your role is to be an ambassador for the Agile and DevOps way of working within our global NXP organization.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), your role involves possessing in-depth knowledge and expertise in one of these specific technologies:

• Amazon Workspaces

  
  

• AppStream 2.0

  
  

• Azure Virtual Desktop 

  
  

• Citrix XenDesktop

  
  

This role requires close collaboration with various internal and external technology and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate deep understanding and expertise in VDI specific technologies.

  
  

• Act as a resource for colleagues and decision-makers, providing insights, advice, and recommendations based on your specialized knowledge.

  
  

• Address complex challenges within your domain, applying your expertise to find innovative and effective solutions.

  
  

• Stay ahead of the latest developments, trends, and advancements in your field to ensure your knowledge remains current and relevant.

  
  

• Share your expertise through training sessions, workshops, or documentation to enhance the skills and knowledge of others in the team.

  
  

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis within your domain, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  
  

• Create and maintain documentation related to your domain, ensuring that knowledge is well-documented and accessible to the team.

  
  

• Ensure that practices and solutions within your area of expertise align with industry standards, best practices, and organizational objectives.

  
  

• Effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating understanding and informed decision-making.

  
  

Qualification:

• Expert knowledge in Active Directory, including replication and GPOs.

  
  

• Experience of optimizing Windows Desktop for use in a virtual environment: OS Image management, application package management, PowerShell scripting and automation.

  
  

• Expertise in the deployment and management of a virtual desktop and application platform. This could include Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, Amazon Workspaces

  
  

• Expert knowledge of AWS products, AWS CLI, Azure products and Azure CLI with an emphasis on automation.

  
  

• Minimum of 10+ years of work experience in Azure VDI

  
  

• Able to analyze and deconstruct technical problems.

  
  

• Capable to communicate clearly and effectively.

  
  

• Experienced in working Agile and/ or on a Lean + ITIL environment
