The Compliance team is accountable for managing various activities to ensure customer, employee, and third-party compliance with Thomson Reuters policy, third-party requirements, and regulatory obligations. The Compliance Analyst is a versatile and innovative individual filling a key role supporting various compliance activities as a member of the Enterprise Risk & Compliance (R&C) program within Thomson Reuters Operations & Technology organization reporting directly to the Manager, Global Compliance Operations. This position will work very closely with colleagues across the compliance team as well as various Thomson Reuters departments including segment/sales, services, commercial excellence, and product. 


The ideal team member is organized and can execute defined processes. This team member is comfortable partnering with the team and other areas of the business to efficiently and effectively complete responsibilities. This individual is expected to look for process improvement opportunities within the team and the R&C program to ensure we deliver a positive experience for our customers. Training will be provided. This is an excellent mid-level position to learn customer onboarding operations and grow as a compliance professional.


About the role:


  • Be accountable for monitoring product alerting and manage subsequent investigations to ensure appropriate product use.


  • Manage the customer audit program to ensure customer compliance with product use obligations and restrictions.


  • Manage compliance team reporting and metrics in collaboration with customer vetting and onboarding team members.


  • Support Compliance team members with internal QA reviews as well as third-party audit requests.


  • Handle internal product access requests.


  • Support compliance policy and process activities from creation to implementation.


  • Support training and communication activities as requested.


  • Support the ongoing evolution and execution of the overall compliance program.


  • Attend and apply ongoing training to further develop knowledge, skills and abilities.


  • Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned.



About you:
The following are required for success in this role:


  • 3-5 years of business experience.


  • Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal) focused on excellent customer service.


  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.


  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.


  • Excellent PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365 and secure cloud services (including SharePoint and Teams), SAP, and Salesforce required; familiarity or experience with data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableaux), data analytics (e.g., Alteryx), and risk & compliance solutions (e.g., MetricStream) a plus.


  • Ability to establish and maintain productive internal business relationships.


  • High level of initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced, matrix environment.


  • Excited about innovation.


  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
