Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP MDG Consultant with strong expertise in ABAP development for SAP HANA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP MDG solutions and delivering high-performance ABAP-based enhancements optimized for HANA.
This role requires a blend of functional and technical knowledge, with the ability to work across teams to implement and optimize SAP master data processes and custom developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions for various master data domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material).
- Develop custom ABAP applications optimized for SAP HANA using techniques like CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-native SQL.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform enhancements and extensions of standard MDG processes using ABAP and FPM (Floorplan Manager).
- Integrate SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems using Data Replication Framework (DRF) and web services.
- Conduct performance tuning of ABAP programs on HANA database.
- Support testing, defect resolution, and go-live activities.
- Create technical documentation, unit test scripts, and support documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including at least 2 years with ABAP on HANA.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with SAP MDG in implementation or support roles.
- Proficiency in ABAP for HANA: CDS Views, AMDP, performance tuning, and HANA SQL scripting.
- Strong knowledge of MDG data modeling, UI configurations, BRF+, and workflow.
- Hands-on experience with Data Replication Framework (DRF) and data load techniques.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
- Knowledge of integration tools such as SAP PI/PO or SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- SAP MDG and/or ABAP on HANA certifications are a plus.
