DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in bridging operations and development, streamlining our software development and deployment process. This role involves implementing and managing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating workflows, and enhancing system performance and stability. The engineer will contribute to the development of innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance our competitive position.

Key responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient build and release processes.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Management: Expertise in managing cloud resources (Azure and AWS) and implementing cloud solutions using IaaS and PaaS.
• Scripting and Automation: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline operations. Strong background in Python and other automation languages.
• System Administration: Handle Linux administration tasks including server setup, user management, security, and troubleshooting.
• Orchestration Technologies: Experience with orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, and AKS/ACS.
• Database Management: Working knowledge database operations and administration.
• Problem Solving: Efficiently troubleshoot service unavailability and customer issues.
• Virtualization: Experience with virtualization P2V/V2V & Hypervisor software (VMWare, XEN), data center (Servers, Blades, Virtual Connect, Network, Storage), and services (NFS, Samba, Apache, Tomcat, LDAP, SQL).
• Change Management: Ensure effective IT change management execution, following the ITIL framework and PHINIA standards and processes, including:
  • Participate in the regional Change Approval Board (CAB) meeting.
  • Ensure hosting team involvement, ownership, and delivery in change activity.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong background in CI/CD and cloud environments.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with Azure DevOps, AWS, Azure, and automation scripting. IaC expertise using ARM and CloudFormation.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. AWS and Azure certifications are a plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
