Visa is currently seeking a seasoned Finance Systems Manager to play a critical role in Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) organization, which is responsible for defining the global finance systems roadmap as well as the implementation and enhancements of financial systems.
Work together with business collaborators and the IT team to formulate precise and comprehensive business requirements. This collaboration aims to facilitate the development of financial system solutions for moderate to large-scale projects within an intricate Financial Operations and Controller setting.
Lead and deliver multiple system projects running simultaneously. Demonstrate and be recognized as Subject Matter Expert (SME) with in-depth working knowledge of one or more Finance functional areas.
Proactively identifies data management solutions based on a data governance framework and business strategies to improve data management at source, transformation, and consumption points.
Work as part of the Finance Strategy team to define, document, and implement data management, KPI’s, enterprise data reference, data quality standards.
Evaluates, recommends, and selects of data management tools to improve capabilities in managing accurate and reliable data.
Manages data issues, as needed, and medium to large data management-related projects of varying levels of scope and complexity.
Collaborating with various departments to ensure data quality and compliance.
Work with cross functional teams to define finance hierarchies to support financial, Management and analytical reporting.
Promotes and educates others on data management practices to effectively implement and manage data governance standards and processes.
Work closely with data scientists and analysts to create and implement AI models.
Manages data issues, as needed, and medium to large data management-related projects of varying levels of scope and complexity.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all system changes and enhancements.
Drive efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes and reporting requirements.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• 12+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree / Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Must have experience in data governance and or data management including but not limited to data management standards and approaches, data quality management, data governance practices, data stewardship practices, and data sources practices.
• Must have experience with different finance hierarchy management (Cost Center, Entry etc.)
• Strong data analysis skills and demonstrated experience in testing, validation, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and related disciplines.
• Experience in leading and managing Finance projects, including planning, coordinating, and ensuring data governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Fundamental understanding of AI and machine learning algorithms, and experience in applying these techniques to finance data.
• Experience with data governance strategies and methodologies, including understanding of data privacy, data quality, data integration, and data cataloging.
• Understanding of the business domain to align AI capabilities with business objectives, and ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to present data insights in a clear and understandable manner using data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI
• Knowledge of ethical considerations related to AI, such as bias in algorithms and data privacy issues.
• Experience in Data Governance Tolls like Collibra, Informatica etc. preferred.
• Experience in any ERP products like Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP etc. is added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate complex information into comprehensive, concise, and high-quality business requirements with minimal revisions.
Candidates must be self-directed, comfortable with multi-tasking, disciplined, adaptable to change, and have excellent business and systems analysis, critical thinking, internal controls understanding, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and achieve in-depth understanding of complex processes and systems.
