This role is ideal for someone who has spent 10+ years building production-grade web applications , including 2–4 years of owning frontend architecture , where you were responsible for defining architectural direction rather than simply contributing as a senior individual contributor.
As a Frontend Architect, you will establish technical standards, design scalable frontend systems, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver performant, maintainable, and user-centric applications.
You will influence long-term engineering strategy while mentoring developers and driving engineering excellence across multiple products.
Key Responsibilities Define and own the frontend architecture for complex web platforms and enterprise-scale applications.
Design modular, reusable, and scalable frontend systems with clearly defined module boundaries and ownership.
Establish architectural guidelines, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across frontend teams.
Collaborate with product managers, backend architects, designers, and engineering leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Drive architectural decisions involving state management, routing, performance optimization, rendering strategies, and component libraries.
Lead initiatives around frontend observability, testing, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
Review technical designs, conduct architecture reviews, and provide mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers.
Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Ensure applications deliver exceptional user experience across browsers and devices while maintaining high performance.
Partner with DevOps and platform engineering teams to improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and frontend infrastructure.
Required Qualifications 8–20 years of professional software engineering experience.
10+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications.
2–4 years of demonstrated ownership of frontend architecture , including designing application structure, defining module boundaries, managing shared libraries, and driving architectural decisions across engineering teams.
Strong expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, with deep expertise in at least one.
Strong understanding of component-driven architecture, design systems, micro-frontends, and scalable frontend engineering practices.
Experience designing maintainable state management solutions and data flow architectures.
Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization, caching strategies, lazy loading, code splitting, and bundle optimization.
Experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern development workflows.
Excellent communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
