Job Description

The purpose of this position is to manage Technology and Competence for Current core and Future core technologies as per Product Roadmap. Drive Frugal process innovations. Lead a team of Experts and drive new process developments / process improvements with respect to SQCD aspects. Manage Process Development Cell / Workshop.


Process Developments / Improvements: Oversee implementation, resource planning, for Process improvements, Smart Automation, etc to facilitate SQCD improvements. Oversee process release and standards release (Process Data Sheet and Release Reports) to ensure adherence to guidelines and standards.


Mae Commissioning And Try-Out: Oversee the commissioning of machine and peripherals to ensure MAE is correctly installed, calibrated, and productionised. Ensure that the machine meets the product quality requirements, safety standards, and performs effectively and efficiently during try-out.


Competence Development: Formulate, assess and develop competencies to ensure competence availability as per technology road map Establish network with OEMs, national / international Centre of Competence for developing competence in existing and new technologies (Short term/long term)


People Management: Drive GPTW culture, Lakshya and VCS initiatives Encourage team to develop competency in existing/ new fields (e.g. Shainin, HEP, digitalization etc.) Developing agile approach methodology for problem solving Managing the Process development cell.


Digitalization: Facilitate team to identify and implement projects in Digitalization and Emerging technologies (like Data Analytics, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence).


Business Continuity: Support Maintenance Team / VS for avoiding / providing solutions with respect to MAE breakdown, Process investigations, Customer complaints.


Relocation / Localization: Support VS for relocation / localization of products from IPN.



Qualifications

BE Mechanical / Mechatronics / Production Technology


12-18 Years of experience (minimum 3 years experience at leadership position)



Additional Information

Knowledge: 


Strong technical knowledge on Process improvements / developments methodologies. Hands on experience and advanced level knowledge in various manufacturing technologies (plant specific like Grinding, Honing, Force assisted joining and screwing, etc)


Knowledge on engineering drawing, Engineering statistics (Machine & Process Capability), SPC, GD& T, MSA etc.


Knowledge on standard Digital solutions (MES, etc), Digital Competency (Power BI, Tableau, etc) and Emerging technologies (Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence)


Functional Skills: 


Strong networking skills  (internal/external) Strong analytical & Problem solving skills

Adaptability in changing environment and passion towards learning future core and emerging technologies
