Job Description

Junior Data Engineer - Data Processing, Analysis & Support Troubleshooting in India.

This role will support data processing, data analysis, and troubleshooting activities for data-related support tickets across Future Factory solutions. The role will help monitor data quality, investigate reported issues, and support resolution activities under guidance from senior engineers and solution teams.

What a typical day looks like:

• Analyze support tickets related to data processing, data discrepancies, data refresh failures, reporting issues, and data pipeline behavior.
• Perform initial investigation, data validation, query checks, log review, and issue replication to identify probable causes.
• Support data cleansing, transformation checks, reconciliation, and correction activities as per defined playbooks and guidance.
• Coordinate with senior data engineers, application teams, support teams, and business users to collect details and progress ticket resolution.
• Document troubleshooting steps, findings, known issues, FAQs, and repeatable resolution actions for future reuse.
• Support monitoring, reporting, and operational health checks for assigned data processes and datasets.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 2+ years in data analysis, SQL, data support, reporting support, ETL support, application support, or related roles.
• Working knowledge of SQL queries, data validation, spreadsheet-based analysis, basic troubleshooting, and data quality concepts.
• Exposure to ticketing processes, production support, dashboards, data pipelines, APIs, or manufacturing data environments is preferred.
• Ability to follow playbooks, document findings, communicate clearly, and escalate issues with the right technical details.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn data engineering and manufacturing data processes.
