Lead Developer - FDP

About role

The position/opening is to work for Field Deliver Platform (FDP) Team based out in Pune. The selected employee would be part of one of the Scrum teams of FDP as the Lead Developer, primarily responsible for Software Development and design work related to FDP.

FDP is a platform (app of apps) holding multiple applications on top of it on Microservices /Micro app Architecture. This application enables the SLB field users to support their entire Job Life Cycle. The application works on an offline (Desktop) and online (Web portal) modules.

FDP is one of the IT Transformational Project in SLB, primarily FDP is developed on .NET Core and make use of Microsoft Technologies like C# for server side and Angular Type Script for front end. Database used is Mongo. Development happens on Dockerized instances of Developer Machines. Hosted on cloud, FDP have instances on Cloud hosted on Azure. FDP SDLC process follows Scrum Framework and team has achieved good maturity on Devops implementing CI/CD and CT at various stages of the Development process.

Once part of the team, our goal is to evolve the selected individual as a Full Stack Developer and that person would have an opportunity to work on latest technologies, tools and framework currently in the market and gain knowledge on Cloud technologies as well. Refer below technical skills expected from this position.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

● Languages: C#, Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS

● Frameworks: .Net Core, Asp.Net MVC, WPF, Angular, React

● Applications: Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, Studio 3T, Docker

● Database: MongoDB, SQL Server, Redis

● Messaging Queue: RabbitMQ

● Azure Cloud platform

Key responsibilities

• Apply development, design and configuration skills for Developing/Enhancing FDP.
• Help with release processes for the progression of code in the different environments like QA, Test, Staging, Training and Production.
• Work with the different Scrum Teams on Developing/managing Devops Pipelines.
• Contribute on application testing activities and ensure the quality of the code.
• Understand and support integrations with other applications.
• Handson experience in Azure Cloud Solutions

Qualifications and Requirements

• Engineering degree
• Decent knowledge on Microsoft Technologies. .NET Core /Angular etc.
• Exposure to Mongo DB would be an added qualification
• Basic understanding on Cloud computing.
• Basic understanding on Micro services/Micro apps Architecture.
• Should have basic understanding of Business Process Flow, UI design and data migration.
• Basic understanding on tools like Visual Studio.
